Who is this event for?
- Those with a sense of adventure and a reasonable level of physical fitness ready to take part in a action packed programme in the Swiss Alps! Similar to our Summer Youth Events (Discover, Adventure, Explore) but open to all ages.
- This event is ideal for families, and Guide/Scout and Ranger/Rover groups of all ages and genders. The activities are best suited for those aged 11+, there is no upper age limit.
- Members of Guiding/Scouting and non-members are all welcome to this event.
- The event is aligned with the main UK Half Term Week, making it perfect for UK groups who prefer not to, or can’t, visit in our busy summer season!
What activities are involved?
- Kayaking on the turquoise Lake Brienz
- Suspension bridge and Climbing Tower
- Visits to Bern and Interlaken
- Communications Museum
- Boat ride on Lake Thun and visit to a castle
There are also evening activities led by our international volunteer team and one free day where you can plan your own activities or relax at Our Chalet.
Scholarships available!
For this event we have two types of scholarships available:
- For girls and young women who are active members of Guiding/Scouting and can demonstrate benefit in attending this event, we have event scholarships available which can be used to cover all or part of the event fee and all or part of your travel costs. Applicants must be willing and able to participate in all programme activities. Applicants under 18 are welcome, but must attend the event with at least one adult age 18+. To apply fill in this form.
- For women aged 60+ with at least 20 years participation in Guiding/Scouting, we have Cheryl Watkins scholarships available. These scholarships cover the accommodation portion of the event fee only. To apply fill in this form.
