Our NEIGHBOURHOOD

We are right in the heart of the Bernese Alps where there are endless adventures to be had! With hundreds of kilometres of hiking trails (including the Via Alpina) and ski pistes on our doorstep and activities from zip-lines to curling to saunas, there really is something for everyone.

ADELBODEN ACTIVITIES

For guests staying with us without booking our programme activities, there is still plenty to do in the village and the surrounding area. Whether you’re looking to strap on cross-country skis for the first time, try fondue in an igloo, or challenge your family to a competitive games trail, Adelboden Tourist Office website has all the information you need to plan your adventures before you arrive.

Of course, our Guest Services Team will be happy to help you find activities during your stay. However, please note we are only able to book activities for guests taking part in programme led by our staff. If you need equipment such as hiking boots, waterproof clothing, sleds, or snowshoes, we have a small stock available to hire.

Shops InAdelboden

Adelboden’s village street offers a number of shops selling everything from sports equipment to traditional wood-carved items. There are also a number of banks and two pharmacies. Don’t forget – shops in Adelboden (and much of Switzerland) are closed on Sundays.

Our Chalet Shop

Our Chalet's shop sells a wide range of Our Chalet souvenirs from hoodies and t-shirts to penknives and magnets. We also stock a small range of snacks, ice creams, and drinks.

Bakery

If you need more snacks or are self-catering and have run out of milk and bread, Oey bakery is our closest food shop. The bakery is approximately a 20 minute walk from Our Chalet and is usually open to 18:30 (closed on Sundays).
