Originally from a small village in Italy, I moved to London in search of new experiences, opportunities, and a city that never runs out of things to do. I started my career in Public Relations, spending four years managing brand communications and organizing events, before transitioning to reception, where I honed my skills in creating welcoming environments and keeping office operations running smoothly.

Then, I found Pax Lodge, and what began as a job quickly became a passion. Through WAGGGS, I’ve had the chance to connect with people from all over the world, building friendships that cross borders, languages, and time zones. Being part of a community that empowers girls and young women has been an incredibly rewarding experience.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me exploring London, trying new restaurants, and convincing myself that adding another book to my collection is always a good idea.

I Joined WAGGGS on 02 Jan 2015 as Pax Lodge Deputy World Centre Manager and was Promoted to World Centre Manager on Feb 2022. I’m enjoying working at the World Centre and proud to be part of the guiding & scouting movement.

I’m an Iranian national, or some still called Persian. Born in Shiraz which used to be the capital of the Persian Empire.

I studied Travel & Tourism. Previously I worked in Kish Island and Dubai before I moved to the UK in 2011, most of my career it’s with international chain hotels such as Marriott, Landmark, Accor, Golden Tulips, and Radisson.

I love to travel and learn about other nationalities, cultures, and foods. So far, I visited 32 countries and learned a lot.

Liz was promoted to Programme Manager in June 2022 after starting in January 2019 as Senior Programme Coordinator. She is from England, an active Guide Leader and Queen’s Guide. Liz currently runs three units in Buckinghamshire – Brownies (7 to 10 Year olds), Guides (10 to 14 Year olds) and Rangers (14 to 18 Year olds). Liz has travelled extensively with Girlguiding Buckinghamshire including visits to Our Chalet, Nuestra Cabana, Sangam, Germany, France, Sri Lanka, Mongolia and India.

Liz is also an active member of the High Wycombe Gang Show, an amateur variety performance produced by Guides and Scouts from the local area.

Lily first joined the Pax Lodge team as a volunteer in summer 2022, and returned as a Front of House Coordinator in October 2023.

Lily is from Edinburgh, Scotland, where she first joined Girlguiding as a Brownie at the age of eight. She continues to support her former Guide unit in Edinburgh while volunteering with the Pax Lodge Brownies.

Lily has been delighted to participate in a number of WAGGGS programmes, including as a Juliette Low Seminar participant and a Global Advocacy Champion. In addition to volunteering at the 2023 World Conference in Cyprus and the 2025 Europe Region Conference in Vienna, she has attended events at Sangam, Nuestra Cabaña and Kusafiri, with hopes of visiting Our Chalet soon!

I am from Italy and I have lived in London since 2009, working a variety of hospitality jobs from making hundreds of coffees every day to working functions attended by the Royal Family! I have a photo somewhere where I am standing close to then Prince Charles (though I am not looking towards the camera…) I joined the Pax team in April 2023, this is my first experience with anything Guiding related and I have learned a lot so far! I have met so many amazing women, especially from our volunteer team, and I have made friendship that now span the globe and will last a lifetime.

My claim to fame is that I have won the battle with my mental health every day of my life. I have mostly accepted that it will never be easy but I will keep on keeping on, and be silly along the way 🙂

Hi!
My name is Mariana. I’m originally from Colombia, but I moved to the UK when I was 16. I recently graduated with a degree in International Event Management and joined Pax Lodge this year (2025).
I have a strong background in events, with experience ranging from organising charity runs to coordinating conferences and banquets for up to 200 guests. I’m really excited to start this new chapter as part of the Front of House team here at Pax Lodge.
In my free time, I enjoy reading as well as re-watching the same series until I get tired of it! I’m also passionate about community service. Most recently, I’ve been volunteering with the Latinx community in London, which has helped me stay connected to my roots and brings warmth to my heart.

Hola! My name is Sofi, I’m from Mexico, Distrito Cuernavaca, I’m a Pax Lodge Volunteer for this summer, is my second Time volunteering again and I’m very excited to make new friends within the volunteers from pax lodge.

Back in Mexico I am a ranger (guias mayores 16-21 y/o) leader with my friend Karla, I’ve been in guiding for over 13 years and I’ve just got my Omecihuatl (leadership award).

I am studying university, international relations and political science; I love to make new friends, sharing experiences, hiking, exploring, watching movies, and playing Pokemon! I can’t wait to meet all the volunteers and living this new volunteering experience.

Hey y’all! My name is Lizzy, and I’m from Alabama in the US! I am a Pax Lodge summer volunteer, and I’ll be here from June to November. I am so excited to make new friends from across the globe and experience new adventures.

I am a Gold Award Girl Scout and have been a Girl Scout for over 18 years! I have worked at GS summer camps in Alabama and visited Pax Lodge once before, but I am so eager to embrace the globality of WAGGGS.

I graduated from university in December 2025 with a degree in Environmental Biology and plan to work in conservation. I love to read, cross stitch, hike, and learn new things; I am so excited to get to know everyone at Pax Lodge!

Hi! I’m Isabelle and I am from the UK. I’m a Pax Lodge Volunteer for the summer. I have visited before, but this is my first time staying as a volunteer. I’m looking forward to meeting new people and trying new things.

I am from Bedford but go to the University of Salford, Manchester. I am a Leader at a Brownie unit in Manchester and am so grateful to have found another guiding family at Uni. I’ve been in Guiding for 14 years and have always loved collecting badges!

At Uni I am studying Costume Design. I love to be creative, see films and shows, go on walks and spend time with my friends. I’m excited to spend my time at Pax Lodge with the other volunteers from around the world.

Hi, My name is Holly and I am a spring volunteer at Pax Lodge from March to June.

I am from Brisbane, Australia but originally from Christchurch, New Zealand. I have been an active member of guiding Australia since the age of 6 and haven’t stopped since!

Hello! My name is Sophie and I am from the East Coast of Canada. I am excited to be volunteering at Pax Lodge this summer from May until August.

I have been a part of guiding since I was 6 years old, and this is my first time visiting and volunteering at one of the world centres. Back at home, I am a leader for a Sparks unit where I get to work with Girl Guides aged 5-7 years old. Guiding has been such a big part of my life and I am looking forward to experiencing it at an international level this summer.

Hi everyone! My name is Ceci, I’m from Veracruz in Mexico!
I’m a Pax Lodge summer volunteer from July to October. I’m very excited to be here! And I can’t wait to make new friends, learn different activities and learn about other guides of the world.

I have been in Guides since I was 10 years old and now I’m a certified leader for Intermedias (girls between 13 – 16 years old), but, I was first with Guias (girls between 10 – 13 years old) and I’m certified with them too. I love to make excursions, pj’s and campaments with my girls and make activities for them to get international badges like: Surf Smart 2.0, Free Being Me, MetLife, YUNGA, and more.

I graduated from university in December 2023 with a degree in Architecture. I have been working in construction and designing houses or remodels. My next goal is to be a specialist in sustainable construction and design.
I love to play videogames, make some diy, paint, draw, invent diferent games and activities and travel arround the world.
I’m so excited for this opportunity in Pax Lodge and for learn a lot of things!

Hola! Im Fabiana from Lima, Peru, I’m a Pax Lodge summer volunteer, I will be staying from June to November, I have been a Our Chalet volunteer before so I was excited to live the Pax Lodge experience too

I have been a guide I was 8 years old, I’m currently a service guide who works with girls from 7-10 years old in my local troop

I’m thinking of start studying law next year when I go back home, I want to master in International law because my dream is to work in human rights

I love summer, I live near beach so that has been a constant in my life, I love sports too and I like to spread my culture trough the dance

I’m happy to be here and have friends all around the world! ❤️
