Who is this event for?
- Spring Adventure YUNGA is open to all, but designed for Guides and Scouts aged 10+.
- The event is scheduled to fit with the first week of the UK Easter break, but is open to Guides and Scouts from any country.
- Participants do not have to be members of Guiding/Scouting, therefore this event is also suitable for families, friends, and intergenerational groups.
What activities are included?
Over the week participants work towards the YUNGA Water badge while taking part in a range of fun, outdoor activities. Activities include a hike to Engstligenfalls, kayaking on Lake Brienz, a visit to the historic town of Brig and it’s interactive World Nature Forum museum, and lots of international activities onsite at Our Chalet.
Will there be snow?
Maybe! Sometimes we still have snow in April, sometimes it is already warm and sunny, mountain weather is very difficult to predict. If you would like to see snow, you could use your free day to plan a snow activity. Engstligenalp ski area is open until early May and the valley cable car station can be reached via a short walk and bus ride from Our Chalet.
