Who is this event for?
The Discover event is open to all Guides and Scouts aged 11-18, along with a limited number of their adult leaders (max 2 adults per 8 youth). Our summer programmes are designed for groups of around 8-20 youth accompanied by adults in a ratio of 2 adults per 8 youth. For very small groups (fewer than 6 youth) and large groups (more than 20 youth) please contact us to discuss suitability prior to booking
The Discover event focusses on outdoor activities that do not require previous outdoor experience or include mountain hikes. However, please be aware all our programmes do involve full days outdoors, most days involve some walking, and one of the day programmes does involve a walk as part of the activity.
What activities are involved?
Please read the Info Pack for full details of the all activities and to make sure the event is suitable for your group. Note that the activities are different to this programme in 2022 to 2026, we ask leaders to make sure they read the Info Pack carefully to understand which activities they are signing up for.

In the evenings, you’ll be able to participate in a varied evening programme of activities to learn new skills and have fun with your new friends. As well as the activities offered by Our Chalet, one day in the event is left free for your group to do your own activities, either onsite, in Adelboden, or further afield.
