From the joyful sounds of mariachi and Afro-Latin rhythms to the swirling movements of folklórico and salsa, Fiesta Latina celebrates the cultural fusion of indigenous, Spanish, and African roots. This is heritage you do not just see; you feel it, taste it, and live it. 

What to Experience: 

• Craft and Culture: Create colorful Papel Picado, whimsical Alebrijes, and festive Piñatas while exploring the meaning behind traditions like Día de los Muertos 

• Music and Dance: Move to the rhythms of salsa, cumbia, and other regional dances that bring generations together in celebration 

• Games of Tradition: Join in classic Latin games like Lotería, Canicas, Palo Seco, Carreras de Sacos, and of course, the beloved Piñata. Delight in games that blend joy with tradition 

• Flavors of Latin America: Enjoy a culinary journey featuring dishes from Mexico, the Caribbean, Central and South America. Each recipe tells a story of heritage, family, and flavor 

• Adventure and Service: Cool off at our private pool, then make a meaningful impact by participating in community action with local people of Cuernavaca.  Build bonds through shared purpose.

Package Includes: 

• 7 nights of accommodation at Nuestra Cabaña in comfortable dormitory-style shared lodging 

• All meals (from dinner on the first day through breakfast on last day).  We are capable of catering to special dietary requirements 

• The weeklong program incorporates international connection with Global Girl Guides/Girl Scouts; programming with smallgroup workshops, leadership development, and ceremonies; cultural immersion through song, dance, storytelling, crafts, local Mexican traditions; environmental and sustainability competency; free time for participants to explore, swim, rest, or relax; reflection and growth via evening programs, sharing, leadership sessions 

• World Centre experience learning new crosscultural understanding and environmental awareness; while growing confidence through defined learning outcomes for the participants 

• Community action through meaningful, handson service projects with local community partners in need.  Make the world a better place as you support our local Mexican organizations  

• Guided Day Trip(s) may include Tepoztlán (mystical mountain town with a hilltop pyramid and vibrant artisan markets); Taxco (colonial silver town with winding cobbled streets and famed silver workshops); Jardines de México (grand botanical gardens showcasing themed plant landscapes); Grutas de Cacahuamilpa (guided tour through an extensive cave system with stalactites & chambers); Xochicalco (UNESCO World Heritage site featuring the well-preserved ruins of a fortified pre-Columbian city in Mexico); OR Downtown Cuernavaca (stroll through this temperate-city’s plazas, historic churches, gardens and craft market).  Destination(s) vary depending on a variety of factors present at the time of the event.
