Who is this event for?
- Perfect for individuals, couples, friends, Rover/Ranger groups, and Trefoil groups.
- Open to all genders, participants must be aged 18+.
- Participants are not required to be members of Guiding/Scouting.
What activities are involved?
This programme focussed on excursions to some of the highlights of the Bernese Oberland (and beyond)! Activities include:
- Mount Pilatus Golden Tour (boat, cable car, and cogwheel train journey in central Switzerland)
- Cheese and chocolate day in Gruyere, with cheese fondue for lunch and chocolate tasting
- Cable car ride and easy hike in the mountains, with marble runs to get competitive on the way!
- Boat tour of Lake Thun and kayak tour of Lake Brienz
- Half-day at Engstligenalp, summer home of our local cows, and half day in Adelboden village
- A more relaxed day on-site at Our Chalet
Other notes
Throughout the week, we also run six evening programmes and there is one free day for participants to plan their own adventures!
Scholarships available!
For this event we have two types of scholarships available:
- For girls and young women who are active members of Guiding/Scouting and can demonstrate benefit in attending this event, we have event scholarships available which can be used to cover all or part of the event fee and all or part of your travel costs. Applicants must be physically fit enough to participate in all programme activities. Applicants under 18 are welcome, but must attend the event with at least one adult age 18+. - For women aged 60+ with at least 20 years participation in Guiding/Scouting, we have Cheryl Watkins scholarships available. These scholarships cover the accommodation portion of the event fee only (in this event CHF 180). To apply fill in this form.
