Get a taste of WAGGGS oldest World Centre and the Swiss Alps with this action packed programme for all ages! Activities take place over two half days and one full day (usually Friday afternoon, full day Saturday, and Sunday morning – but we have some availability midweek too).
Who is this event for?
Mini Breaks are short programmes (usually on a weekend) for groups of any age accompanied by adult leaders. The Climbing Tower option is suitable for age 6+, Sledding option is suitable for age 10+. Younger children are welcome but may not be able to participate in all activities.
Mini Breaks are a great opportunity to experience Our Chalet with limited time! They are open to members and non-members, so units/troops are welcome to bring family and friends along. Groups also do not have to include children, Mini Breaks are perfect for Rovers, University Guide/Scout groups, or active Trefoil Guilds! Minimum group size is 10.
What activities are involved?
- Climbing Tower and Suspension Bridge (age 6+) OR Sledding (age 10+) – full day programme. The whole group must choose one option (either Climbing Tower option or Sledding option)
- International Minute to Win It – half day programme
- Swiss themed onsite activities – half day programme
The activities take place over two half days and one full day (usually Friday afternoon, full day Saturday, and Sunday morning – but we also have availability midweek) from January to May. There are also two evening activities, which offer an opportunity to learn a new skill, play fun games, or work on a badge. Activities are weather-dependent.
