Who is this event for?
The Mini Explore event is open to all Guides and Scouts aged 11-18, along with a limited number of adult leaders.
What activities are involved?
Mini Explore offers a taste of the full Explore programme. Over one full day and two half days you’ll take part in the following:
- A half day at the Adventure Park racing along the zip lines
- An intermediate hike including a suspension bridge crossing
- Climbing Tower – challenge yourself on three levels of challenging obstacles
- A half day in Adelboden village competing against each other to complete the games trail
Throughout the programme you’ll also learn about the WAGGGS leadership mindsets and have a chance to complete a Brilliance Beads leadership bracelet and the Our Chalet Summer Challenge badge.
How does all that fit into a 2 night stay?
Our new Mini Summer Youth Events (Mini Discover, Mini Explore, and Mini Adventure) pack a lot of programme into a short time! Activities start at 14:00 (2pm) on your arrival day and finish at 13:00 (1pm) on your departure day. We strongly recommend arriving by 12:30 on your arrival day to give you time to check in and eat picnic lunch before your programme starts.
