Who is this event for?
- Anyone of any age who wants to explore Switzerland with an exciting programme that doesn’t require a high level of physical fitness and plenty of free time to organise your own activities or just relax in your mountain home!
- Perfect for individuals, couples, friends, Rover/Ranger groups, families, and Trefoil groups. Ideal for inter-generational travel!
- Open to all genders, participants under 18 must be accompanied by at least one adult on the same booking aged 18+.
- Participants are not required to be members of Guiding/Scouting.
What activities are included?
This programme focusses on excursions to some of the highlights of Swiss culture. Activities include:
- A visit to Zurich and the Lindt Museum
- Adelboden’s local history musuem
- Eisstock taster session – try this Swiss sport, similar to curling, with Adelboden’s local players
- Boat cruise on Lake Thun
- Chocolate making workshop
- Souvenir shopping time in Interlaken
Other notes
Throughout the week, we also run evening programmes and there are two free days for participants to plan their own adventures! Please note that Our Chalet has a small staff team and are not able to help with booking free day activities. However, you will receive a Free Day Guide with ideas and tips to get your started booking your own activities.
Scholarships available!
For this event we have scholarships available:
- For women aged 60+ with at least 20 years participation in Guiding/Scouting, we have Cheryl Watkins scholarships available. These scholarships cover the accommodation portion of the event fee only. To apply fill in this form.
