  • Would you like to play a role in creating impactful experiences for girls and women across the globe?

This could be the adventure you’ve been waiting for! The Sangam Volunteer Programme is a three-month residential leadership development opportunity for Girl Guides and Girl Scouts aged 18 to 30. It enables volunteers to immerse themselves in the World Centre by actively contributing to our events delivery, while developing valuable leadership and other skills.

Volunteering at Sangam is not just an opportunity; it’s a unique, transformative journey that offers many benefits for personal, professional and cultural development.

Sangam volunteers play a vital role in our daily operations and programme delivery. The main duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Execute a series of tasks before and after the event to ensure that all preparations and follow-up tasks are completed.
  • Deliver a variety of sessions on different topics related to the event type for guests, including tours of the local neighbourhood and in the city of Pune.
  • Design, prepare, and facilitate sessions focused on the WAGGGS initiatives for both international guests and community partners.

Assist with Guest Services and Communications

  • Meet and greet guests as they arrive at Sangam and assist them with any queries they may have during their stay.
  • Set up tables for meals and facilitate conversation during mealtimes and tea breaks to encourage positive interaction between guests and residents.
  • Take high-quality photos and videos of activities and events, then create a report video, write articles or post updates to be shared on Sangam’s social media or in the newsletter.
