Hi, I’m Jasmin Rajaram , I am 19 years old and I am from a small town in sunny South Africa. I have been in Guiding since I was 11 years old and now at 25 I am a young leader and working towards getting my Adult Leader Qualifications. I also recently just received an award for 5 years service as an adult leader in my country. I have achieved a lot in Guiding in my country and for WAGGGS. I was on the U-Report design team, and have worked to create many polls for everyone. In my country I have also been held the communications post in my region and currently I hold the International post.

This is my second time as a Pax Lodge volunteer, I was a volunteer in 2019 as well. I got my degree in Marketing and I am now back as the Marketing and Communications intern. Being a part of the Pax Lodge family is like having a second family away from home.

Hi! I’m Andrea, and I’m from Monterrey, Mexico. I hold a degree in International Relations and graduated in December 2024. I’ve been a proud member of the Girl Guides for over seven years, and it has played such a meaningful role in my life. Back home, I’m a Brownie (Haditas) leader, and I’ve been leading my group for more than three years—an experience that’s brought me so much joy and learning.

This is actually my second time volunteering at Pax Lodge, and I couldn’t be happier to be back! It’s such a special place, and seeing familiar faces and welcoming new ones makes it feel like home. My first volunteer experience here was in July 2022, and I also had the chance to volunteer at Nuestra Cabaña for World Thinking Day in 2023. Both were unforgettable opportunities that deepened my love for traveling and making new friendships from around the world.

I enjoy singing, traveling, and creating meaningful experiences—especially when shared with friends and family. I’m truly excited for everything this new chapter at Pax Lodge will bring. I look forward to growing, learning, and making the most of every moment during my time here.

Hi, I’m Namrah, a Girl Guide from Punjab. I officially joined as a Senior Guide, but Guiding has always felt familiar to me. Watching my sister in her uniform inspired me from a young age. Now, I mentor younger members and serve as Chair of Young Leaders in PGGA. I’ve also been Head Girl and Current Affairs President on my college council

Pax Lodge marks my first adventure as a volunteer at a World Centre, a journey that began after visiting Kusafiri as an SDG Ambassador. That experience opened my eyes to new possibilities. Guiding is now woven into the fabric of my life. I have eagerly taken part in a range of national and international initiatives, from JLS and Lead for Her Future Now to campaigns on child labour, education advocacy, climate action, clean-up drives, tree planting, and youth workshops. Each experience has fueled my passion and sharpened my leadership and advocacy skills.

Academically, I have a background in English Language and Literature as well as Biology. This combination reflects my love for both the sciences and humanities, shaping me into a balanced learner. My stay at Pax Lodge is helping me connect with people from diverse cultures, broaden my horizons, and grow as a youth leader who values empathy, advocacy, and global friendship.

Hi, my name is Mara I’m from British Columbia Canada meaning I’m from the West Coast of Canada. I will be volunteering from September to end of February I’m so excited to begin this new adventure in my life! I have been apart of guiding since I was 5 so I have been apart of the guiding world now for 15 years and they have been some of the best years. This is actually my second time staying at Pax the first time I stayed here was in 2023 when I was on a international trip with my group from Canada! So Happy to be here!

Hi! My name is Jahan, and I’m from Trinidad and Tobago. I recently graduated with a degree in Communication Studies with a passion for media studies and public relations. I have been a proud member of the Girl Guides movement for over 15 years. At home, I serve as a Ranger Guide Young Leader and hold several leadership roles within my MO, including Assistant Ranger Commissioner and Communications Planning Team Assistant, helping in areas like our social media platforms.

My name is Aliyu Naphatiti Asma’u,I am from Nigeria and I am passionate about empowering young people through leadership, community service, and lifelong learning. I currently serve as the Youth Commissioner for the Nigeria Girl Guides Association, where I support and inspire young women to develop confidence, skills, and a global perspective through Guiding.

My journey in Guiding has taken me from local community projects to international experiences, including volunteering as a YESS Girl,  at Our Chalet, Pax Lodge and participating in regional and world events organized by WAGGGS . These opportunities have deepened my appreciation for cultural exchange, teamwork, and the shared values that connect Guides and Scouts worldwide.

Beyond Guiding, I am also involved in youth empowerment and digital education initiatives, particularly in technology and entrepreneurship. I enjoy creating spaces where young people can learn, grow, and take action for positive change in their communities.

Volunteering at Pax Lodge is a fulfilling experience that allows me to contribute to the global sisterhood of Guiding while learning from people from all walks of life. I am excited to continue spreading the spirit of friendship, leadership, and service that Pax Lodge and WAGGGS represents.
