Vi
(Italy)
Operations Manager
Originally from a small village in Italy, I moved to London in search of new experiences, opportunities, and a city that never runs out of things to do. I started my career in Public Relations, spending four years managing brand communications and organizing events, before transitioning to reception, where I honed my skills in creating welcoming environments and keeping office operations running smoothly.
Then, I found Pax Lodge, and what began as a job quickly became a passion. Through WAGGGS, I’ve had the chance to connect with people from all over the world, building friendships that cross borders, languages, and time zones. Being part of a community that empowers girls and young women has been an incredibly rewarding experience.
When I’m not working, you’ll find me exploring London, trying new restaurants, and convincing myself that adding another book to my collection is always a good idea.
Amir
(Iran)

I Joined WAGGGS on 02 Jan 2015 as Pax Lodge Deputy World Centre Manager and was Promoted to World Centre Manager on Feb 2022. I’m enjoying working at the World Centre and proud to be part of the guiding & scouting movement.
I’m an Iranian national, or some still called Persian. Born in Shiraz which used to be the capital of the Persian Empire.
I studied Travel & Tourism. Previously I worked in Kish Island and Dubai before I moved to the UK in 2011, most of my career it’s with international chain hotels such as Marriott, Landmark, Accor, Golden Tulips, and Radisson.
I love to travel and learn about other nationalities, cultures, and foods. So far, I visited 32 countries and learned a lot.

Hi!
My name is Mariana. I’m originally from Colombia, but I moved to the UK when I was 16. I recently graduated with a degree in International Event Management and joined Pax Lodge this year (2025).
I have a strong background in events, with experience ranging from organising charity runs to coordinating conferences and banquets for up to 200 guests. I’m really excited to start this new chapter as part of the Front of House team here at Pax Lodge.
In my free time, I enjoy reading as well as re-watching the same series until I get tired of it! I’m also passionate about community service. Most recently, I’ve been volunteering with the Latinx community in London, which has helped me stay connected to my roots and brings warmth to my heart.

Jasmin
(South Africa)
Pax Lodge Volunteer
Hi, I’m Jasmin Rajaram , I am 19 years old and I am from a small town in sunny South Africa. I have been in Guiding since I was 11 years old and now at 25 I am a young leader and working towards getting my Adult Leader Qualifications. I also recently just received an award for 5 years service as an adult leader in my country. I have achieved a lot in Guiding in my country and for WAGGGS. I was on the U-Report design team, and have worked to create many polls for everyone. In my country I have also been held the communications post in my region and currently I hold the International post.
This is my second time as a Pax Lodge volunteer, I was a volunteer in 2019 as well. I got my degree in Marketing and I am now back as the Marketing and Communications intern. Being a part of the Pax Lodge family is like having a second family away from home.
Andrea
(Mexico)
Pax Lodge Volunteer
Hi! I’m Andrea, and I’m from Monterrey, Mexico. I hold a degree in International Relations and graduated in December 2024. I’ve been a proud member of the Girl Guides for over seven years, and it has played such a meaningful role in my life. Back home, I’m a Brownie (Haditas) leader, and I’ve been leading my group for more than three years—an experience that’s brought me so much joy and learning.
This is actually my second time volunteering at Pax Lodge, and I couldn’t be happier to be back! It’s such a special place, and seeing familiar faces and welcoming new ones makes it feel like home. My first volunteer experience here was in July 2022, and I also had the chance to volunteer at Nuestra Cabaña for World Thinking Day in 2023. Both were unforgettable opportunities that deepened my love for traveling and making new friendships from around the world.
I enjoy singing, traveling, and creating meaningful experiences—especially when shared with friends and family. I’m truly excited for everything this new chapter at Pax Lodge will bring. I look forward to growing, learning, and making the most of every moment during my time here.

Katrina
(United States of America)
Pax Lodge Volunteer
Hello! My name is Katrina, I’m from the United States! I am a lover of all things related to the arts, especially theatre. So far, I have been involved in Girl Scouts for 12 years and plan to continue volunteering for the far future. I’m an adult within my service unit, having bridged from ambassador in 2024. Even though I’m not technically a scout, I’m still heavily involved when it comes to events, camps, and fundraising. I’ve helped host numerous camps over the years, mainly those working with STEM or Art. I enjoy leading girls of all ages through craft projects especially, as well as aiding them in completing steps for badges and journeys. I’ve attended a year of community college at home with the goal of obtaining a certificate in Graphic Design and pursuing a career in Marketing and/or Advertisement. I first visited Pax Lodge in the summer of 2023, participating in the Journey Through London program with several other girls in my troop. I absolutely loved this experience!! Being able to meet new people and learn new things about places other than my home country was a delight. I soon after applied to become a volunteer, hoping to gain work experience, as well as make new friends and memories along the way.
Alva
(Sweden)
Pax Lodge Volunteer
Hi I’m Alva, a volunteer here at Pax Lodge!
I’m a scout from Sweden who will be staying here until the beginning of March. Back home I am the head leader responsible for a group of 8-10 year old Tracker scouts and active in a group of Rovers, ages 18-25.
I love being a scout because it gives me opportunities to challenge myself and develop my leadership skills, while having fun! For instance, this summer I completed my Explorer Belt in Scotland together with a friend, where we hiked 160 km in the span of 10 days! When I’m not scouting I love swimming (both indoors and outdoors), sewing, repairing clothes, and spending time with friends.
Myra
(India)

I’ve had the opportunity to conduct sessions on important topics like gender equality, STEM, and safety education, while also participating in national and international programmes that connected me with inspiring women and girls worldwide. Guiding has taught me responsibility, empathy, and the importance of creating a positive impact in my community.
Maru
(Argentina)
Pax Lodge Volunteer
Hi! I’m Maru! I’m a 22 year old Guide from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I’ve been part of Girl Guiding since 2010. I come from a Scout and Guide family, so Guiding has always been part of my life.
I’m the Leader of the Guides, or as we call them “Guías en Caravana”, in my MO since 2023. This is my first international experience ever; I even took my first flight to come here! I’ve always dreamed of visiting the five World Centres, and Pax Lodge was the first one on my list.
Back home, I’m the Regional Head of Communication for “Zona Caviahue” and I’ve been part of different national communication committees over the years. I love combining my passions for photography, design, and social media to share the spirit of Guiding and show how it can change lives. Guiding has taught me leadership, teamwork, and courage. I’m so excited to be here, to learn from other Guides around the world, and to keep growing every single day.
